Hi everyone!
This is Annabeth reporting for duty! =D Here to report the yummy activity of the day! =D
Being a school day, (as I said before, we're home schooled) the usual breakfast of cereal and/or toast was given out, but Lunch and Supper are a different story! ;) Have you ever had Potato Bacon Onion Cheddar soup? Oh. My. GOSH. Talk about simple and absolutely DELICIOUS! And you add Cheddar bread, and you're talking THEE perfect meal! =D
A rough breakdown of the recipe:
4 cups of water
4 cubes of chicken bullion
1 teaspoon of Thyme
3-4 medium-large potatoes (with or without skin)
2 small onions (or one Medium onion)
and as much Bacon as you want to add! (already cooked, and split in small strips. you'll want to add it towards the end, so it doesn't get too rubbery!)
Once you've cooked all the above till tender, serve it hot, with shredded Cheddar, and you got the perfect family recipe! ;)

Now, being a family of 7, we have to triple the recipe, but that no big deal, because all that means is we get to have it for supper too! ;) It's one of only a small handful of soups that everyone, from the 2 yr. old up, LOVE to eat! (an added bonus!) Another thing we like to do, is add more onions, and Thyme. (We like a strong flavors, and it doesn't affect the goodness of the soup) And if you DON'T have bacon, don't sweat, because it still tastes fine without it =)

As for the Cheddar bread, I don't have that recipe memorized, so I can't write it down right now...Sorry 'bout that...

Looking forward to the family movie in a little while! (We almost always watch a family movie before bed) What are some of the movie you watch? We like the older family series/movies: Waltons, Rifleman, Andy Griffith, Dr. Quinn, Little House of the Prairie, The Pied Piper (one of my personal favorites!) Finding Baby, Little Rascals, as well as some more modern movies such as: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, High School musical (yes, I still love that one too!), Night at the Museum, Journey to the Center of the Earth (the newer one), Tangled (you should see my little brother, 9, trying to do the Smoulder! Melts your heart.... ;), Robots, etc.

We love family time movies! =D

As far as what Mom and I are reading, I've just finished reading Chicken Soup for the Sister's Soul 2 (VERY good, inspiring book!), and Mom is reading Magyk, and she seems to be enjoying it! =D Since finishing my last book, I haven't really been able to find a book that I feel like reading...I've read 85% of all the kids/young adult books we own, and the rest just don't seem to "beckon" me towards them, so I'm on a case to find the mysterious book that fits my requirements! ;) I'll keep you updated if I find one that fits! In the mean time though, I'll probably finish one of the other Chicken soup for the Soul books! =)

Well, I ought to go help pick up the living room for Family time, so I'll sign off for now!

This is Annabeth, over and out ;)
